ORCA cleans-up Bristol Harbourside in an effort to reduce the amount of rubbish ending in the ocean

As some of you may already know, last Tuesday the whole ORCA team switched up the morning routine and headed to the harbourside. This wasn’t for an average design agency jolly (although we did have a lot of fun) it was to do our bit for the environment.

Equipt with all the necessary kit borrowed from Bristol Waste - we donned our hi-vis vests, grabbed  litter pickers and bag rings and met up to make a plan to get started. From the centre of town we headed in the direction of the strawberry line and got to work. Over the period of the morning the team managed to fill over 12 bin bags full of rubbish which was a great effort. Although the rubbish will continue to be an issue, I was super proud of the team coming together to affect positive change on our environment.

Having been a part of the ORCA team for over 4 years, I’ve been lucky enough to experience the journey we’ve been on first hand. Working for a business that shares your personal values makes it a pleasure to be a part of. As more people join the team, our shared purpose has gone from strength to strength and I truly believe in what we’re trying to achieve at ORCA.

In the coming months we'll be doing lots more as a team and we've just started planing our next volunteer day, so sign up to our newsletter here to stay up to date with everything we're doing.
