Hodges create naturally inspired grooming products for Men
Founded on a simple premise, to build a brand of integrity, Hodges select the best ingredients or materials and work with British craftsman to produce the highest quality products. Their collection features a complete range of skin, hair and shave products for men. Free-from chemicals, their products are made in Britain using 98% natural ingredients.
Hodges required an elegant, timeless brand with a stand-out icon mark, which portrayed quality, trust and heritage. To stead us well and put us in a strong position to create the brand, we began exploring the culture of Male Grooming.
Understanding Male Grooming Culture
Getting involved at the very early stages of the product, meant understanding exactly the demographic and heritage of the Male Grooming lifestyle and culture. We delved deep into the world of barbers, grooming and natural products to fuel our design team with inspiration and knowledge.
Initial Mark Exploration
We created a simple but unique typographic mark which was diverse enough to use over multiple products and packages, as well as over digital and marketing collateral. We created custom made letterforms with subtle, elegent flourishes to represent the bespoke, premium nature of the brand.
Rolling out the assets
The resulting brand evokes class and the minimal packaging is bold, smart and perfectly suited to it’s environment. With the new brand in place it was time to begin rolling it out across the full range of Hodges products, including Shave Butter, Deodorant, Hair Clay, Face Scrub, Mosturizer and the Hodges custom made leather goods.
The brand was also succesfully rolled out across a fully responsive, e-commerce website to drive online sales for Hodges products.
